Went to college for one year. Got engaged at 19 to Bruce Linder from Georgia and married at age 20 in 1980. Moved to Charleston, S.C. where Bruce was stationed in the U.S. Navy. I attended LPN school, and we had our first son, Bruce, born March 1983 at the Naval Regional Medical Center 9 lbs, 2 oz, 22" long. Our first home was a blue & white 2 bedroom trailer. We moved to Georgia in the fall of 1983 and then to Indiana and back to CT in 1984. We had a daughter, Alicia, in 1985 and another son, Russell, in 1987. We moved to Massachusetts in 1988 and still live here. Bruce and I have been married 28 years. Bruce is an Electrical and Nuclear Engineer and works in Hartford, CT. I work as a Polysomnographic Tech at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, MA. My daughter, Alicia, graduated from Westfield State College Magna Cum Laude in May 2008 and is a Communications Major. She was the Judith White LaFond Award recipient for the Communication graduating class, which is given for academic excellence and all-around contribution to the department for the past four years of college. I was a stay at home mom and volunteered as a PTO member at the kids' James Clark Grammar School & participated in everything from book fairs and working the school store, to helping teachers going on field trips to Christmas caroling in the classrooms & field (fun) days, to Campbell Soup labels for education! Memories that I will never forget and am so glad to have! I also was a volunteer for Brownies, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. I love music, singing, hiking and camping. I love the outdoors, gardening and going to Karaoke! See ya'll soon and look forward to it!!

Rose Avenia (1978)

tarted having my kids young! Graduated from College of the Atlantic in 1986. Bought an old house with land enough to grow veggies in southern Vermont. Grew food commercially through 1997. John Tapper and I took our four kids out of school and spent 7 months touring our country's national parks in 1995. Became a financial advisor in 2001 (year of divorce) which is what I'm currently doing for work. Still love to hike, bike and canoe, and have shared that love with my kids. I'm politically active in our state of Vermont.

Jill Baglin (1978)

After high school I received an A.S. degree in Recreation Leadership from Vermont College and a B.S. degree in Recreation from Norwich University I moved to Bethlehem, PA in 1983 to become the Youth Director at the Bethlehem YMCA. After about 5 years there, I spent several years in the child care field, as the Director of three different Child Care Centers. About 10 years ago I switched tracks entirely, and began working for AAA. I work in the travel department, making travel reservations ie. hotel, airline, car rental, all-inclusive resorts, cruises, Walt Disney World, etc. I have been married for 4 years to Rusty Graver. We met at our church, where we worked on a project together to build a church playground. I coordinated the fundraising and he coordinated the construction. Since it was a second marriage for both of us, we opted out of the traditional church wedding. Instead, we took a trip to Hawaii and had a sunset wedding ceremony on the beach in Maui. Rusty has three grown children from his first marriage. We have a beautiful granddaughter named Halle (14 months) and another granddaughter on the way.

Went to Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA where I played soccer for 4 years, a year of lacrosse, and got a degree in Physics. Went on to graduate school at UCONN and received an MBA while working as a Head Resident on campus and bartending at Chuck's Steak House in Storrs. Started working as an IT consultant for Arthur Anderson, (now Accenture), and have been working in IT Management for various insurance companies in greater Hartford (The Hartford, CIGNA, MassMutual). I settled back in Windsor and have been very active with the local soccer club (coached and served as President for a number of years); participated with my daughter in the local Youth Theatre as an Asst. Director and Art/Set Director for a number of plays; a member of Windsor Palette & Brush Club; and serve as a lector at St. Gabriel church in town. I'm still playing competitive soccer in a local men's league as well as basketball in a Windsor league that has had some old HS friends as well, (John Zito, Tom O'Shea, Kevin Deneen) good fun! I've spent A LOT of time with my kids with all their activities over the years. My son Joe graduated from Univ of Richmond in May '08 and my daughter Taylor is a Junior there as well. I also stay connected to my buddies from Holy Cross and UConn thru golf trips, attending UConn Big East Tourny in NYC and travel from VT to NC. I keep close ties with one of my best friends from HS, Steve Farrell, as we're only 10 mi away here in Windsor. The same goes for Jim Santos, John Drain and Pat Moreno who are all relatively local one of the nicer parts of being "home". I recently divorced after 22 yrs of marriage so now it's time to get my handicap in golf down, paint watercolors, travel and have some fun! Looking forward to connecting with the gang from '78 at the reunion.

I attended the University of Connecticut for 2 years, transferred to Fisher Junior College in Boston for an A.S. in Optometric technicianry, then went on to become a Registered Dispensing optician and made my way over to Northeastern University for a B.S. in Health Management. I lived in Newburyport, MA for 12 years. I worked for The New England College of Optometry, managed independent optical shops, was a staff optician for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and I moved with my family to Cape Cod several years ago. I'm currently working as a part time optician for my optometrist husband. We have 3 kids - Dan (17), Christina (11), Anna (4), and we just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. I am an avid cyclist, an occasional skier and I enjoy knitting, reading, cooking, scrapbooking and working out. I am grateful for the friendship of Maryanne Terlaga (Benoit) whom I am very connected to and we share a lot of time together with our families. I am thankful for Ann Abrams (Munroe) who has always been in my life - some years more than others, and for Sue Beauregard (Garrett) who has come in and out of my life and I still never know when she'll call me from Baxter's!

Attended Boston College 1978-82, received BSN from School of Nursing. After college, I initially worked in orthopedics/sports medicine; then left there to work on the development and marketing of new health care products for The Travelers Insurance Company. While there, I joined the CISC (CT Industrial Ski Council, a social racing league) which eventually led me to meet my husband. We had mutual friends and met while living in a ski house at Killington which we all jointly rented together every winter. I eventually left Travelers to work for a health care consulting firm in New Haven where I ran various health care trend studies for different companies. With my husband on the road almost full time, and my own job involving almost 50% travel with no option for either part-time and/or no travel, I left to finally start a family!! Was fortunate enough to still make it in time to have 2 precious children, a daughter Julie, age 6 (starting 1st grade in September) and son, Ryan who will be turning two in August! Best part about having kids late is getting to benefit from the mistakes/lessons already learned from my high school friends, most of whose children are already grown up!! After being home a few years full time with my kids, I'm now taking some science, writing and stats courses where I hope to be able to write and publish results of current clinical research going on in the areas of diagnostics and prevention. My interests involve anything outside and include skiing (still spend most winter weekends up at Killington), biking, camping, hiking and occasionally sailing (when I get the chance). I also had a corporate/themed gourmet food/gift basket business (a.k.a. hobby run amok) on the side several years back (pre-children!)

Thirty years is a lot to cram into one paragraph. Briefly went to S.C.S.U. for 7 years following WHS. Worked/work at the same job since 1985 Chase Enterprises. I have lived in Enfield since 1988. Married twice, divorced twice. I have two step-daughters and two sons. One grandchild through step-daughter. All of whom reside with me. Can't wait for Sept. 27th to arrive. P.S. Have been working part time as a bartender for 20 some odd years and love every minute of it. Ask me what my favorite drink is at the reunion. And what one I hate to make!!!!

Dan Bolduc (1978)

College (MCC) after high school May 1992 hired by the Hartford Police Department and served 22 years before retiring in June 2004. Currently single living in Vermont, taking care of my father, and enjoying retirement.

Barbara Bruyette (1978)

Went to Providence College for 4 years. met my husband, Justin, in my freshman year. Traveled through Europe right after graduation, then lived for a short while in Boston. Moved to NYC to take a job as a flight attendant in 1984. Left the airlines, entered the corporate world and got married in 1988. Had both my babies while in Manhattan and finally moved out to Glen Ridge, New Jersey in 1997. I am currently the Vice President of Learning for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and my husband is a professional musician (guitar). My oldest son, Reilly (17) will be a senior this year and Keegan (12) is entering 7th grade. Overall, it's been a great ride and I wouldn't change a thing. Looking forward to looking back at the reunion.

I met my wife through friends in the winter of 2001. We dated nearly five years, and were married 10/14/06. Beth (Bordonoro) Burke is a graduate of South Windsor High Class of 1982. She is a pastry chef for Highland Park Market in Farmington. We bought a condo off Marshall Phelps Rd called the Country Walk development in the fall of 2007. I have been a production machinist since graduation at various companies. I currently work for "Olympus" a.k.a. (camera company). They bought our business out in 2005. Our company makes transducers which measure stress and voids in various parts. I have worked for this company for almost seven years!

Tracey Caputo (1978)

Graduated MCC in 1981 as Surgical Technologist and worked at Mt. Sinai. Moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1984, married/divorced 2 police officers (ok so I'm a slow learner !) Worked in surgery down there until I got my Massage Therapy license in 1993..had the opportunity to work on the Miami Dolphins for 2 seasons (and NO they never coughed up a game ticket !) but it was an amazing experience. Had a booming practice down there. My mom had become terminally ill and I was back and forth caring for her. I lost her in May 2005, but she's always in my heart. My second marriage ended recently but we are great friends (he made Chief of Police in 2007!) and that's how I ended up back in CT. Moved back into the "old homestead" and resumed my part-time passion of renovating.so I gutted the downstairs completely and started over (still a work in progress). Took a Decorative Iron Welding class last year and LOVED every minute of it. (You never know when you might need to weld something !) I made a railing that I will install during my semester break these next 2 weeks) I've decided to move onto Plan H (because I'm well past Plan B !!) . Currently back in school: Nursing.and who knew ?? apparently I'm a "genius" so far I've got a 4.0GPA for 4 semesters now ! (I should have done that well at WHS).

Voted "Coolest Guy in the Class of 1978"! OK, so maybe it was "Mr. Polite", but if you see my wife at the reunion, I would appreciate you going along with MY story. Also, if my bride Anne happens to mention to you that I was an astronaut on the space shuttle, and a brain surgeon too before I met her, it wouldn't hurt if you went along with that somewhat exaggerated tale, too!
*Education: Graduated from Emerson College in Boston. All I can tell you is that it took me less than seven years to graduate, and my G.P.A. was higher than 1.8! I loved reading those notes in Rick Boggio's and Keith Rooke's bios, it certainly made me feel a little better about my college life!
*Work History: Currently the owner and President of CMG RADIO in Boston, MA. CMG RADIO is probably the LEAST successful media business in Massachusetts, and if I keep it up, it might become the absolute worst company in America! I think I made more money working on tobacco at Kendrick's Bros.!
*Earlier Work History: Worked in the motion picture industry for over ten years in a family business, Atlantic Entertainment Group was the name of the company. We enjoyed a tremendous amount of success in the early to mid 1980s, and then didn't enjoy several years where business went down the tubes! Tough industry! Movies like "Valley Girl", "Teen Wolf", "Extremities" , "Stormy Monday" & "1969" are some that you might have heard of that we made, but I can give you a 100 other titles, that you not only never heard of, but were complete bombs and financial disasters. The job sounds a lot more glamorous than it really was, but I did enjoy my time in LA, and working with my brothers! We still talk to each other which is good!
*Personal: Married first and only wife Anne (Boston Girl) in March of 1986! Anne has left me a few times, but I can usually find her at T.J. Maxx! We have had a fun marriage, and she has put up with me, so I am very lucky in that department. Anne is a lot more serious than I obviously am, but that works out just fine.
*Children: We didn't have children until after over 17 years of marriage. We have two adopted daughters from China. "Reilly" is 5 (We got her in September of 2003). We adopted "Marin" last November of 2007! They were both eleven months when we adopted them. Both girls are wonderful right now, and bring constant joy into our daily lives. One of the benefits of being an older parent is by the time my two girls start their criminal activity, I will be too old to care! Two is probably our final number, as I have no desire to try and beat Nancy Corcoran's number of eight is enough! We thought of having children the "traditional way" but my wife felt that the long amount of time waiting; the expense and travel to China was just a much better option than sleeping with me, and who could blame her? I have lived in New York, Los Angeles and now the Boston area, but am always proud to call Windsor my home town! I am also in touch with more than a dozen classmates on a regular basis, so I am very lucky to have had friendships that have lasted not only more than thirty years, but some for over 40 years!

married my high school sweetheart, Bill Grabowicz, on October 1, 1983. We live in Tolland, Connecticut with our two college age children Jessica and Ben, and our two golden retrievers, Bailey and Murphy. I continue to work as a commercial real estate paralegal for a Hartford law firm. Life has been very kind to me in that I will celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary this year and we continue to be very close with our children and spend a lot of our spare time hiking and kayaking. Last summer we were able to spend 10 days together in Wyoming where we visited Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The wildlife was breathtaking. There is nothing like an up close and personal with a Grizzly and three cubs! I have Carol Pertesis and Scott Hopkins to thank for our "addiction" to the outdoors. I recall spending one Sunday hanging out of Carol's Volkswagen Bug with binoculars trying to site eagles up at Barkhamsted! As a result, I have also acquired an interest in nature photography that I am hoping will become more than a hobby. I was elected to the Tolland Board of Education last fall. I have a strong commitment to public education and have found the experience rewarding. Bill and I spent a glorious week in the Bahamas this spring. We decided that if we were lucky enough to make it to 25, and still find each other at least mildly amusing and entertaining, that we should be celebrating for the entire year! Unfortunately, I will be away on another 25th anniversary trip and will miss our reunion. I hope you are all well. I have sent a few photos to share. Have a wonderful time!!! Judy

After high school I went to UCONN, met the love of my life, Jon, and got married in 1982. Jon had a 5 yr/ 2 degree undergraduate study at UConn and finished a year after we got married. Jon had been in ROTC and was commission as an officer in the Air Force to become a pilot. We had our 1st of 8 children- 6 boys and 2 girls (yeah I know.... and yes we know what causes it and my husband is happy to tell you that 'My father always told me to do what I am good at and what I like...' Well, no need to tell you that Jon is pretty witty and makes me smile.) I immediately became a stay-at-home mom and have never regretted it. After our 1st son- Chris (now 25, married, lives in Ft Worth, works for a computer graphics company, and has given us 1 1/2 grandchildren!) was born in Connecticut 1983, we moved to Mesa, Arizona to Williams Air Force Base where Jon underwent 12 hard months of pilot training (UPT). Upon UPT graduation in 1985, his 1st assignment was to Zweibrucken, Germany for 3 years flying the C-23(Sherpa)where #2 son Brian was born ( '85-now 22, an artist!, lives in Valdosta, Georgia working on his teaching degree). We then moved to Rhein Main Air Force Base in Frankfurt, flying the C-13. In '88 Jon and I attended a Worldwide Marriage Encounter-Andrew was a blessed result of our recommitment to each other 9 months later (he is now 19- at Wichita State University studying Aerospace Engineering). In '91 Kevin(17, senior in Kapaun Mt Carmel Catholic High School- loves electronics) was born just after Jon and I survived 8 months apart due to Desert Storm and the Turkish Relief Effort. Being a C-130 pilot, his squadron was the 1st to arrive in the UAE(Unite Arab Emirates) to set up the runways, the camps and to ferry supplies, support army ground troops, parachutists, and his favorite- humanitarian drops of food and clothing (for the Turkish Relief Effort) and their squadron was the last to leave. We were fortunate enough to see so many wonderful things in Europe, most of which were sites of pilgrimages such as the Vatican, Lourdes, France and Medjugorje Yugoslavia- though we did go to Paris, Cannes, London, Bern Switzerland, besides all the castles just down the road from us. We also were witnesses to the Fall of the Berlin Wall! But I have to say that the best experience was living in and experiencing the German community- perfecting the German I learned in college, living a much simpler life than the US (by far) and watching my boys become more proficient than I in the language. Though we loved Germany, and still long to go back, the war did a number on us emotionally and we decided to go back to the states (I had little support while he was away- though the experience caused my faith to grow.) In July of '91 we moved to Belleville Illinois (Scott AFB) where Jon flew the C-9(the military hospital plane) and in '94 Susan was born- (now 14 going into 8th grade at St Thomas Aquinas (STA), she has combined her love of horses and children and volunteers her time at a therapy riding stable for kids. She also is discerning a vocation to Religious life.) In 1995 we moved to Wichita Falls, TX (Sheppard AFB) where Jon returned to pilot training, only this time to train young men and women in the T-37. We loved it so much (especially since he was normally always home) that we stayed there for 6 yrs. While there, Jon left Active Duty and helped start the 1st Air Force Reserve Pilot Training Command as an active duty reservist. While there we had 2 more children. Thomas in '99, and Anna in '00- both go to St Thomas Aquinas school in Wichita- 3rd and 2nd grade respectively. Thomas loves to golf, and Anna is an aspiring teacher. Because Jon had such success in starting the reserve squadron at Sheppard, he was tasked to help start another reserve unit at Moody AFB in Valdosta, Georgia, however this time flying the AF's brand new trainer the T-6A. That is where we had our last child in 2003, but only after we heard of Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body talks (of which I recommend you all read). Consequently, we named him John Paul- our Theology of the Body baby. Jon retired from the AF Reserves in 2004 as a LT COL. We prayed for a year before he retired wondering where the Lord would provide a job. Jon applied to many places, all of which proved to not be good for the family and/or was not a place we wanted to live. Then a buddy heard that he was retiring and sent him job information from then, Raytheon Corp, now Hawker/Beechcraft, to work with their T-6A/B program in Wichita, KS. He is now a Ground-base Training Systems program manager (he travels frequently to the Navy and AF bases (his customers now) as well as one of the T-6A production test pilots for Hawker/Beechcraft Government Business. He recently applied to be the company's Chief Pilot- we'll see. Once again it would be nice to have him home more frequently, so this would be a welcome job. We now call Wichita home- loving the lower cost of living, the family life, solid Catholic diocese and each other. I am still a stay at home mom, I volunteer in our church and diocese. Jon and I give Project Freedom retreats for 8th graders- chastity based program. Our talks are to the parents of the retreatants. Jon is also one of this areas growing 'experts' on Theology of the Body and often is asked to teach about it to groups throughout the diocese and in the High Schools. That's a lot, but that's it. We are all very happy, though we have had ALL the struggles of parents with teens. God is truly Blessing us with all of them- including the challenges.

After WHS I attended the University of Rochester. During my freshman year, I got into a long-term relationship with music teacher Marilyn MacDonald, who had recently graduated from the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and taken a teaching job at L.P. Wilson in Windsor. (Marilyn was a student-teacher for the WHS bands in the fall of '77. She appears in a lot of our yearbook's band pictures.) We got engaged the following summer ('79) and I transferred to the University of Hartford to complete my B.S. degree in acoustics and electrical engineering.
My first engineering job was at Otis Elevator in Farmington in 1982. Marilyn and I lived in Newington at the time. We married in 1983 and moved to her home state of Maine where we lived in Eliot (near Portsmouth) for eight years. While there, I worked at an engineering job in NH for a couple of years, then entered graduate school at nearby UNH. At that time ('86), I had been inactive musically for 8 years, so I resumed playing saxophone and bass guitar in various bands in the Seacoast area.
After receiving an M.S. in mechanical engineering in 1989, I continued on as a research engineer at UNH, mainly doing rail transportation projects.
Marilyn and I bought her family's farm in Wells, Maine in 1992. There I did a lot of construction and maintenance projects, land conservation, and farm planning and management. I also became a very active volunteer and board member in several music, community, and land conservation organizations. Unfortunately the farm took its toll on our marriage and, after over 20 years together, we divorced in 1999. We did not have any children.
I moved to Dover, NH in 1998 and resumed doing engineering work as an independent consultant, primarily for the rail transportation industry. This afforded me time to pursue my music and volunteer interests on the side, including in the UNH music dept. and in three funk/soul/jazz bands.
In December 2003, exactly twenty years after moving to northern New England, I returned to Windsor in search of new musical and social opportunities. While "back home", I played in several area bands and had a chance to visit with a few WHS classmates and friends still in the area.
After 2-1/2 years in Windsor, I decided to move to the Five College area of western Mass. in 2006. Here I've been making new friends, performing with various community- and college-based instrumental and choral groups, enjoying a more rural lifestyle, doing a lot of volunteer work, and shifting my engineering focus toward sustainable energy projects.
I welcome classmates to visit my web site at www.mhdmusic.com for a lot more information. (I can be contacted through this site as well.)

I started working the week after high school graduation as a computer operator at Connecticut General working the midnight shift so I could go to school at Computer Processing Institute. My parents weren't college graduates and that wasn't an option I saw at the time. I am very grateful for a teacher, David Rutkowski, who convinced me to go to technical school because of the potential he saw in me. I didn't have the confidence in myself at the time.

I have had a strong 29 year career in the information technology industry - with no end in sight. I worked locally in the Hartford Area for sixteen years as a computer programmer and have been a computer consultant ever since working for software companies, consulting companies, IBM, and now for myself. I have consulted for over 80 companies in the USA, Canada, and Europe. The most interesting project I worked on was for the FBI for two years on a counter-terrorism data warehouse.

I was married to Dennis Walsh for almost 25 years 1981 2006. I tried very hard to make it work before a divorce in 2006. We have two sons, Alex (20) and Bryan (18).

I am currently living on Cape Cod and travel every week usually to Chicago or Dallas for my current project which is scheduled to continue until May 2009. It's an insane schedule, but I manage and am committed to getting my sons through college without student loans.

I enjoy travelling (obviously) and walking. I have been dating a man, Curt Oldford, from Newport RI for a year now. We dance at least once a week (country line dancing it's a lot of fun and good exercise). Curt & I just went to Newfoundland in August to see where my father's grandmother was born and raised. I enjoy genealogy and have traced my roots to Sweden, Ireland, England, Newfoundland, Holland, and France. I am intrigued by the history - not just names and dates. I have been to Sweden, England, and Holland for and hope to visit Ireland and France in the next few years.

My sons are two of my favorite people. Alex is a junior at Trinity Christian in Palos Heights, IL I get to see him occasionally when I travel to Chicago. He is majoring in Political Science and Communication, is learning Arabic and wants to work for the State Department. Bryan just graduated from High School in June from The Master's School in Simsbury, CT. Bryan starts as a freshman at Tunxis in Connecticut this fall and is already planning next steps. It will be interesting to see where they are in a few years.

I went to school at Univ. of RI and loved every minute of it. I even cheered there for a couple of years but then decided to concentrate on school. My degree is in English and History. I moved back to Windsor for 4 yrs while working at G. Fox in the buying office. It was fun but I truly missed RI and was here with my college friends whenever possible. Also, Dad wouldn't let me move out of the house!!!! You'll still see him walking around town at a very young 85. So, I figured to move out, I had to move away. Hence, back to RI and into Newport. My new home was great and I stayed in the retail business managing a shop in Newport for almost 10 yrs. Rue de France introduced me to many different people in the community and gave me the best role model for a boss/owner. I also cocktailed and waitressed in Newport at the Black Pearl and then Christies. At these two places I ran into a few Windsor graduates. I don't know who was more surprised! But the jobs were great for that time in my life, it's the best way to socialize and have fun without drinking and spending money! I had a great time and still enjoy the city. I married in '91. The day of my wedding I ran into Tom O'Shea campaigning for School Committee at the shopping center. Mrs. O'Shea came to my wedding later that day. It was so sweet of her. We built our home in '93 and had our daughter in '96. I switched to a M F , 9 5 job at the town hall in my hometown. It's been great during Cara's growing years. I'm close to home with weekends to spend with her. My ex didn't quite get the family thing so he's back in Newport and I'm here in Portsmouth. I'm truly enjoying every stage and year of my girl's growing. I tend to be the house of sleepovers, New Year's Eve Parties and anything else the kids can think of to do. Yes, New Year's Eve midnight toasts with Vitamin Water! I'm known to steal children for entire weekends!! With the Girl Scouts I've done sleepovers at Mystic Aquarium, Boston Museum of Science and, most recently, after a Pawtucket Red Sox game at the field! I would have never guessed I'd be doing this stuff. I've also taken kids to The Freedom Trail in Boston and Water Wizz for the fun of it. I'm hoping to do the Statue of Liberty with Cara and a couple of her friends in the next month or so. I've always loved history so it's right up my alley. I figure I've only got a certain amount of years to do my best with her so the remainder of "my life" will start up again in about 4 or 5 yrs! I'm OK with that. I didn't have my girl for others to raise!! If something happens before that, it'll be great but, for now, I'm really happy with where I am.

Went to Northeastern University in Boston and while in school started working part time for a small non-profit agency that helps people with education, training and employment. We are now a fairly large non-profit, and I am chief operating officer. Married three years ago, after 20 or so years together. Live north of Boston, the home of the best sports teams around!

I am also an active member of the Board of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for pediatric cancer research, which was started by my niece prior to her death and now is run by my sister and her husband.

Attended Central Ct. State University and graduated with a BA in Special Studies Graphic Design. Worked at Deer Valley Ranch in Colorado for 3 summers. LOVE the Colorado Mountains!!!
Traveled across the country the summer of graduation visiting various friends and taking in the sights before buckling down to a full time job.
Worked in the Hartford area for a few years in the graphics field, then received an opportunity (1989) to work on 5th Ave (way up on the 57th floor!).
in NYC, so packed up the bags and minimal furniture and moved to Stamford (did the Metro North commute into Grand Central).
It was a great experience working in midtown and I took advantage of everything the city had to offer. The fact that I could come home after a long day to a somewhat peaceful country setting with someone else doing the driving was a bonus.
One of the great experiences was meeting Mike Taylor......
I met "Capt. Mike" on a private yacht (he was the Captain of the Enticer), that was docked at Chelsea Piers (West 23rd).
I fell for the man in the uniform!
We were married in December 1990. To this day, he still makes me smile and we have an adventurous life with our 3 wonderful children.
Malina (17), Nicole (15), Sean (12).
I was fortunate to be able to stay at home most of the years with my kids (for about 12 years). And 3 years ago re-entered the work force after getting my real estate license. I work for a small firm in Stamford (Premier Real Estate) www.pattitaylorhomes.com
I cover most of lower Fairfield County including Greenwich.
The new job has been great. Flexible hours, close to home and even though the market it soft, I have been truly fortunate to stay busy.
We love to travel, and squeeze in as many sailing & ski trips as possible.
Mike is now a part time private pilot for the guy he used to Captain for.
Malina is in her last year of high school and I am just not ready for the "off to college" thing, these kids are growing much too fast!

After High School I graduated from Centenary College in NJ. I then started a business in Clinton Corners, NY and am now in my 25 th successful year. I ride and train horses/ show jumpers professionally. My carrier highlights have been competing at the Grand Prix level and winning 3. I have traveled to several countries representing the USA including Slovakia, Czech Republic, (and competed there when it was still communist Czech.) , Austria, Switzerland, and recently India. I have been very privileged to make a sport into a lifestyle with many great experiences and friends along the way. Another high light was breeding and training the winner of the 100K Grand Prix this past March, as well as National Champions in 2005 and 2006. I continue to ride but have slowed down recently after having spinal surgery and many of the falls, broken bones which I call "a bad day at the office". I am currently working on getting my National judging license. I own a 100 acre farm in NY with my husband as well as another farm we winter at in Ocala, FL.
I met the man of my dreams, David Towle ,a cowboy from Texas. We were married in Nov. 2002. David owns "Rio Vista Products", a company that makes shampoos and conditioners for horses and dogs. We meet while he was sponsoring a Grand Prix that I was competing in in FL. It was love at first sight.
I love flying small planes and more recently hiking. My family and I are going to hike the Grand Canyon in Oct. next month, rim to rim. We recently lost our father and mom passed away a few years ago, we thought this will continue to give us family time and help reduce the pounds that we've put on with our age. Life is good.

I graduated from UCONN in 82' with a degree in Family Studies. This month I began my 16Th year teaching in a Preschool for children with special needs in the public school system in Columbia, CT, the town where I have lived in for 16 years.

I have been married for 27 years to the love of my life and my partner in all things. Every day since we met has been an adventure. During the first five summers of our marriage I was the pit crew for Jerry at the motorcycle races where he was a Professional motorcycle road racer. We raced at tracks from New Hampshire International to the Poconos, and even Daytona. We have 2 sons. Ian, 23 years old would like to make his living as a photographer and Alex, 21 years old, is a Senior at Ithaca College with a major in Acting. I guess some of those Class Actress genes were passed on.

Outdoor activity has become a main focus in my life. We enjoy bicycling, both mountain and road, kayaking, downhill skiing, snowshoeing and hiking. We own a small place in Vermont on a river where we enjoy sharing those activities. This past June I climbed Mount Washington with a close friend and her 2 Golden Retrievers. The round trip took us 9 hours and was an incredible experience. About 4 years ago my son Alex and I got our motorcycle licenses together and I can often be seen riding my 250 Ninja to work on many nice days.

The photo is me and "my guys" hamming it up for our 2007 Holiday card.

Wow 30 years, that just blows me away. It sure has been fun. From high school I went to Uconn, took me 6 years to graduate but finally finished with a B.A. in Business. Lived in Miami for 5 years, was a manager of a night club. Had the time of my life, partied like a rock star and made tons of friends. Shortly after that I had an opportunity to work in Los Angeles for an aerospace company. The project I was assigned to was cancelled 1 year later. I loved L.A., so I decided to sell cars for 6 months and then go back to CT, didn' t quite work out that way. 20 years later I'm the GM of a large Saturn dealership in Los Angeles. Married Rebecca 19 years ago, 2 kids Carlos jr 18 (freshman at Santa Monica college) and Veronica 8(daddies little girl). No complaints I play golf twice a week, play basketball 3 days a week. Rebecca has put up with me for 19 years she's a saint. I still consider Jimmy Santos, Steve Farrell and Frank Barresi my best friends. We've held up pretty good over the years and touch base on a regular basis. I won't be able to attend the reunion because of family sickness, hope to make the 40th, have a great time

I joined the navy, smoked cocaine, got clean. Learned to help people with drug and alcohol problems. Did a stint as a "Television expert" I lived in the desert of Utah. Climbed the mountains of Mexico with the Taraumaran Indians. I've had 18 dogs. Saw how the other half lived. I traveled to 6 African countries and lived in one. Got robbed in Turkey. I made a million dollars and spent 2 million. Never married with the exception of a business arrangement for a few years. Have a 25 year old boy old who calls me dad.

I've done enough sharing in the past 30 years. It's time to listen.

Toured Europe for a month with Sandy Esterline with the money we made at the graduation party. Corporate dining with UTC for 20 years; real estate agent 23 years, owned income property and a coffee shop in Marlborough. Engaged for 12 years (Tornado blew down my parents' house and church so canceled the wedding in 1980). Married to the same guy J.B. for the last 18 years (hunting and fishing maniac, I still find irresistible). Son Dalton 16 years old is a football and lacrosse player and chef at Max's; daughter Lacy, 12 years, the one dream I always had and it came true much to my delight. 1st grade Sunday School teacher, made the NY Times, Prudential R.E. Honor Society, drove in the Shad Derby (my J.B. won it 2x's). Going back to school for law and still partying every chance I get.

I have enjoyed a wonderful journey discovering myself and the world around me. I was married for 4 years and have been divorced since 1995. Love being single but definitely looking for a special soul mate. I worked as a newspaper reporter directly after graduating from P.C. in 1985. Have been in sales and book publishing and currently am at work on a novel and series of books for girls. I also enjoy doing Reiki and other Holistic Health modalities. I meditate and pray on a regular basis and am soon to become a Spiritual Director. My life is quite interesting and exciting. My brother Michael has 3 kids and I am a devoted "Auntie Val" to Kristen, Kathryn & Tyler.

Salena Johnson (1978)

Wow, 30 years, that just doesn't seem possible. I have been married for 22 years to Bob Willis Jr., also a WHS graduate, from '77. We have three children, Rob III, whom is in his 4th yr. @ Central Ct. State University, Javon, whom is 12, and would prefer to not spend any time in school, and Jeanna whom is 10 and absolutely enjoys being a student. I have worked in the 'mental health field,' for approximately 20 years. I've been employed @ Nursing homes, DMR and currently with DMHAS as a Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor. Following high-school, I briefly attended UCONN, and joined every auxiliary club I could talk my way into, i.e. (Voices of Freedom Gospel Choir, a sorority/fraternity support/fan club, etc.) Needless to say, that didn't last. So I decided that I needed to have some regular income and further my education simultaneously. I received my A.A. from Greater Hartford Community College, now known as Capital Community. After that, I went out of state to Boston, in order to complete my B.S. @ Northeastern University. Boston was great, and I learned a lot about living away from home.

When I find the time, I love to write. I actually have several poems published with poetry.com. Please feel free to go to that website if you'd like to read any of my prose. (Just put in my name). I love hanging out with the kids, I'm an official "coach's widow. " Of course, I'm biased, but I believe that all of my kids are 'true athletes.' All of the kids play football, Bob coaches, and when the fall season ends we go right into basketball, travel basketball, etc. The kids enjoy camping, fishing, and just about any outdoor activity. I'm a home bunny. My sister, April, & husband, David & like to go out dancing, (when our knees and back allow it (smile). I enjoy spending quality time with her children, my niece Denisha, nephew Darryl, and on occasion with some of my old buddies from school, ( I've got to give a shout out to); Paula (Cloud) Bowser, Gay Gardner-Wilson, and Antonia (Ortiz) Baker. My parents, Barbara & Armond, are doing relatively well, but divorced, & still reside in CT. When possible, I've also enjoyed spending time with cousins, Vallerie, and Cheryl, whom allow me to be as silly as needed. (We are close as our birthdays are one month apart). Family has always been and will always remain very dear and important to me. My brother Armond Jr., is in Illinois with his wife, Karen and boys, Daniel and Cory. I am very close to Bob's family as well. For his parents 50th wedding anniversary, 2 years ago, we all went to celebrate in Las Vegas. My niece, Danielle, and nephew Donald, (Monique's children), have also created many special memories with us, i.e. , vacations to Myrtle Beach, Cape Cod, Virginia Beach, and visiting with Auntie Debbie in Virginia. Bob's parents, (Bob Sr., & Dorothy), have been very supportive and loving through the years. Cultural, spiritual and educational experiences are activities that center me, and keep me inspired. These are the values I hope to pass along to my children.

Nancy Keyes (1978)

I went to college in Pennsylvania where I had a great time and ran on the cross country team. I was not outgoing or athletic in high school, and after that freak accident with the plate glass window in 10th grade, walking was a victory and running on the team was indeed a miracle. After college I moved to Maryland. I am a college professor and also own a computer consulting business. When I was in high school my plans for the future included becoming a writer, possibly becoming a teacher, maybe becoming a nurse, and at some point becoming a missionary. During my freshman year of college I sold my first manuscript for publication and continued writing for publication for many years. After graduating from college I was a second grade teacher. While working on my master's degree I took extra work as a certified nurse's assistant. Over the years I have been involved with Campus Life/Youth for Christ and as part of that have gone on several mission trips in and out of the country. So it seems that perhaps, in one way or another, I have done what I thought I might do. What I didn't know or plan for was a life filled with numerous surgeries and medical complications. Beneath my photo in the high school yearbook is a reference to Romans 8:28. That was very important to me through the high school years, and thirty years later all the more. I'm thankful for the blessing of life and for God's work in mine, turning the bad into good one way or another, for His glory. Aside from my career, I am on the volunteer staff with Youth for Christ and on the volunteer staff at a Christian Camp. I also write the Sunday school curriculum and prepare the related materials for church so that the children's material aligns with the pastor's sermon for the week. I finally bought a house about six years ago. I tinker in the yard, play with my three cats (Mordecai, Esther, and Vashti) and this summer grew my first organic vegetable garden. I'm saddened to see the number of our classmates that have passed away. Nancy Crabtree and I used to love making books; I wrote the stories and she drew the pictures. Jeff Hammond called me before high school started one year. We hadn't kept up since we were kids in Sunday school, but he had quietly seen something that happened to me and called with encouraging and concerned words. We weren't in touch much after that, but I was thankful for the way he reached out to me. Thank you to those of our classmates who have served our country.

Irene Kruzinauska (1978)

After high school I went to Becker College, then worked as a Medical Assistant, and then onto medical systems. My husband, Mark, and I have 3 children and I was fortunate enough to stay home and raise them, working part-time at night. For the past 10 years, I have worked at Manchester Memorial Hospital and per diem at Hartford Hospital as a Medical Abstractor in the Clinical Research Department. The majority of our family life has been watching our 3 boys play sports, from Rec to High School Varsity sports. Our oldest, Kenny, is a Jr. at UCONN, majoring in history; our middle, Kyle, will be a freshman at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute majoring in engineering; and our youngest, Kristopher, will be a Jr. in High School. It has truly been a great ride.Mark and I are very thankful. Would love to hear from "old" Windsorites!!

After WHS, I attended CCSC and earned my BS degree in 1982 in Special Ed/Elementary Ed. I later earned my MS in 1988 at St. Joseph College in Early Education/Special Education. In 2005 I earned a second MS degree from the Graduate Institute.
I have been teaching for 25 years, 24 of those years have been in Hartford, where I presently teach Kindergarten.
I married Chip Bafumo in 1987. We have 2 children, Katie is 18 and a freshman at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY, David is 15 and a sophomore at East Granby High School.
We enjoy relaxing at our summer get away on Oneida Lake in NY. It is a quiet, relaxing place to get away and enjoy the water. We currently reside in East Granby in the home we built 11 years ago.
Besides enjoying boating and relaxing at the Lake, I have enjoyed all the activities my children have been involved in, the dance recitals, the soccer games, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and teaching Sunday School at our church. Along with this I enjoy sewing and scrapbooking.

Following HS graduation in 1978, I attended Stonehill College in N. Easton, MA; a small catholic college where I earned my BA in criminal justice/public administration. Graduating in 1982 in the height of the Reagan years, I was hired on by a division of the U.S. Department of Defense and have been with them 26 years in October. I remember going for my job interview in a federal office building in Boston and having to go thru special locked doors just to get to the interview. No, I'm not with the CIA but I'm have been doing some neat and classified things over the years.

I relocated to the Baltimore/Washington area in the fall of 1982 and had a variety of assignments within my DoD organization. Some doing research, some doing teaching, some doing management. Took a hardship tour of duty in Honolulu, HI from 1998-2001 (it was tough but someone had to do it!) and then back to Maryland. Stayed there thru 2006 at which time I've relocated to San Antonio, TX. I've been extremely fortunate in my career and have worked in wonderful places with wonder people and serve as a senior technical director working with loads of bright military and civilian personnel. I just wish they would stop calling me ma'am -- it makes me feel too old.

I've been married to my great husband Alan Croneberger since 1997 but we've been together since the mid 1980's. He's retired from the federal government and enjoys golf, hiking and swimming -- I join him when I'm not working. We travel a lot and venture to Vegas at least 2-3 times a year and at least somewhere at the shore or in the mountains. No children but four terrific nephews on my side of the family (two in South Windsor -- Mary Ann Terlaga, you know them! and two in Maryland) and many nieces and nephews around the country on my husband's side.

San Antonio is great and we've become fond of rodeo, country music (of course we loved Hawaiian music when we lived on Oahu), and margaritas. If anyone makes it down this way, please contact us.

I attended Northeastern University where, after a few false starts, I majored in journalism. After graduation in 1984 I moved to southern Maine where I ended up working at a newspaper in President George Bush's backyard, Kennebunkport. Hanging out with national media, loads of fun, fired up my travel gene and I moved to Washington D.C. to work with a wire service. I covered Congress for a year, and then took a job with the Houston Post. In Texas I covered everything from Hurricane Andrew to the siege at Waco. I returned to Connecticut after a year and a half of that a little tired out, so I worked in a bookstore for a few years , and then took a job with the Hartford Business Journal, now located downtown over Vito's on Lewis Street. Over the years I met and interviewed two presidents, the Duchess of York, presidential candidates, CEOs, criminals, actors, activists, etc, and it was all fantastic.

My love life over all this time wasn't the greatest, the odd schedules and long assignments didn't help. But once I got online, I decided to try Match.com. It took a while, but I met and fell in love with a nice guy who grew up in Canton and Avon with a big family. Peter and I were married a year later, on the anniversary of our meeting, on Jan. 3, 2004. And a few months later we were both shocked to learn, that despite what the doctor said, women in their 40's CAN become pregnant without medical help....In December, just a few weeks before our first wedding anniversary, we welcomed Henry Shae Corjulo to our little house in Suffield. Henry arrived with authority, weighing a whopping 11 lbs, 11 ounces! (Yes, I will sit down, thank you) and has since grown into a terrific little boy who will turn four in a few months. I left the Journal about a year and a half later and now work freelance from home, while Peter does his software programming work in another room, and Henry attends a local preschool. We have a yellow lab named Jack and a cat named Maple and we're just hanging on!

I go to a Green Bay Packer game and Vegas each year to escape. I hope to spend a few years in Green Bay as I have come to love the town!

Ksenia Mack (1978)

I am married to a scrumptious man, Robert Castagna, who is a wedding photographer.
We have been married 9 years and he is still scrumptious and we are still married.
We have two kittens. One is sort of chubby. Both like tuna.
I attended U Conn and studied music, classical guitar.
After U Conn, I moved to Boston to do the Singer Songwriter thang.
This has gone pretty well for me so far, I have been the opening act for Willie Nelson, Robert Cray and the Indigo girls and many others.
For work, I perform, both as a solo performer and in a few bands, (the best one is the Porch Party Mamas). I also teach guitar privately. I am extremely pleased about this because I feel that the public school system would have dented my abilities, and I do love to "redefine teacher-ness".
As far as other studies, I am an ordained Scientology Minister, so I study frequently.
Some of the more significant events that I have been involved in were traveling to Indonesia and to the Mississippi Gulf Coast using my skills in helping those affected by trauma in the aftermath of Katrina and the Tsunami. This, I must say this was more thrilling and fulfilling than any performance I have had to date.
As far as hobbies, I oil paint and chew my nails, hopefully not at the same time, on account of the toxins in the paint.
I have also learned to speak both Indonesian and Italian, neither very well, but I'm not finished yet.
All the rumors you have heard about me are true.

After high school, I met the love of my life, my soul mate Jim Keane. We married in 1981. We have two children: Christopher (CJ), age 26, and Kristin, age 23. In 1990, Kristin went off to kindergarten and I decided to go back to school, myself. I graduated from CCSU in 1996 and have been enjoying a fulfilling and challenging career as a middle school English teacher for the past 11 years. Over the years, I have done some traveling throughout the U.S.: Arizona, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Maine, my birthplace. I thought I would eventually live in Maine, but am still nestled here in CT. I am, also, actively involved with my church family, Bethany Baptist in East Windsor. Still happily married to Jim, we are expecting our first grandchild the end of October. CJ, the father-to-be, lives in Massachusetts. Kristin still lives at home. She is a CNA and pursuing a nursing career. Considering all of the growing up I have had to do, I would say God has been very good to me!

I attended UConn and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in finance. I made many new friends and enjoyed the college experience completely. I was social chairman at 2 dorms and finance chairman at 1 dorm, after moving off-campus I took a student work position at the CT Small Business Development Center and helped several local small businesses get off the ground. After earning my degree I took a position at CIGNA Corp. in the Group Pension Division working on a new product called 401(k). I worked at CIGNA for 6 years, learned a lot about the pension business, made many lifetime friends and had many fun experiences. During this time I bought my first home in Windsor with two great partners and great friends, John Waters and Bob Zawasky. It was a big house so we had roommates, Steve Moriarity and Pat Smith. Yes five guys in their 20s in a big party house. We all had a great time. I joined the Windsor Jaycees and was made a Vice President of the club. I helped work on several community projects including co-chairman of the Shad Derby Green (with my close friend Craig Mann) and co-chairman of the Shad Derby Parade (with my good friends John Waters and Don Trinks). During this time I met the love of my life Lynda (Krogh) Martin, at work. We played softball together and had a lot of fun with all our friends in Windsor. We were married in 1989 (with best friends and best men Joe Tymkow and John Waters) and moved to Lynda's home town, East Granby. I am very thankful to the Krogh family of East Granby who welcomed me with open arms and made me a part of their big wonderful family. I also took a new position as a Senior Consultant with a pension consulting firm called Benefit Concepts, Inc. (BCI) in Glastonbury, CT. Our first house became our family home and the birthplace of our 3 beautiful girls, Abigail (Abba age 15), Samantha (Sammy age 13), and Sarah (age 10). We also had many fun parties and events with my family (brother Leslie Martin and sister Sue (Martin) Keith). We joined them in celebrating the birth of their kids Savannah Martin (Les' girl), Colin Keith and Alison Keith. We are so proud of Colin who led the Granby HS soccer team to a state championship and now he is attending Keene State in NH. BCI was acquired in 1996 by USI. We are now known as USI Consulting Group where I am a Senior Vice President, Investment Advisor and National Practice Leader for our 401(k) Practice. I have enjoyed growing the company and my career over the past 19 years with the firm. We have helped many people save for retirement and helped many plan sponsors develop successful pension plans. In past 2 years we have been named Best in Class by Plan Sponsor Magazine and included on the list of Most Successful Advisors by Plan Advisor Magazine. I look forward to many more years of success.

After WHS I attended the U. of Lowell, and Central Conn. before graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the U. of Hartford. I accepted a job with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI and have been there for over 25 years (again a large number). I'm currently the Lead Engineer for Heavyweight Propulsion, which is a fancy way of saying I design, build and test torpedo engines. It's an interesting job that has taken me from the Bahamas to Western Australia and most importantly it is where I met my wife Donna (an engineer also).

Donna and I owned a boat, for awhile, no fishing just water skiing, tubing and hanging out with friends. I took up snow skiing after college and have skied from California to Utah to Colorado and even in Austria.

We live in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and have two boys Drew 13 and Daniel 10 who keep us very busy with all their after school activities. We do everything from baseball to soccer to band to cello to cub scouts and boy scouts. For fun we enjoy snow skiing and anything to do with the water and the beach. We always like to travel with trips to Orlando, Washington State and Hawaii being particularly memorable.

Shortly after High school I was introduced to a wild and crazy guy from Boston. Within a year we were married. I was self employed for about 15 years and worked out of my home for small companies. We are working on our 30th year, can you believe it? We had five beautiful children. Vanessa, 28, is married with two children, yup that means I am a proud grandmother of Mj who is 4 and his sister Summer Ruby who is almost 2. She is a supervisor for the town of South Windsor. Her husband is a funeral Director. Michael, 25, is an executive protection specialist specializing in international protection. He played college basketball. In the four years he played I think I put on 20,000 miles following the games. Veronica, 20, at the moment is a full time college student with a 4.0 GPA (just had to brag about that) and has done some modeling, she is so pretty! Victoria, who is deceased, is our Christmas angel. I have to say the death of a child is the most difficult pain I have ever had to endure. Last but not least John Nicholas, 16, a junior who plays basketball all year long, he can swish threes like no one I have ever seen,

When my oldest had children I quit my job. I am a full-time mema and watch the grandbabies every day. Our home is in Windsor Locks. We bought a house just five minutes from the house I grew up in. To be honest, I never really knew where I would be in 30 years.I lived for today. I still live for today. I love having a large family. My family is my life. We are a large and very happy crew. I was a bit fresh in high school..you may not want to know what crazy things I did (haha). I did love being in the Shad Derby. I see a few faces from the past in the neighborhood. Ellen Croxford and I weren't really friends in school but for the past 28 years we have laughed about it. She is very dear to me. Funny how life is..you never know what tomorrow will bring.

It really saddened me when I found out a few of the friends I hung out with were no longer here. Makes you sit and really think about how precious life is. If anyone has any information on Nancy Crabtree could you please email me?

I think one of my favorite bands was KC and the Sunshine Band back then. Our hang out was anywhere there was a dirt road. A fad was my favorite bell bottoms and any movie at the drive in was a good one, and song...hmm.A Brick House.might have been after high school.

I'm currently an Elementary School Nurse and love every minute of it. I've been separated/divorced now for 4 years, after being together 26 years. It was a shock and took a little bit of an adjustment but the worst is behind me now and I am so looking forward to the next chapter in my life. My kids are all grown and making lives of their own.they don't really need me anymore so I guess this is my chance to do things for me for a change. I got my motorcycle license about 8 years ago and ride a Suzuki Intruder 800, one of my favorite past times. I have an RV that I keep in Westerly less than 4 miles from the beach and spend all of my free time there over the summer with my 5 year old/7# Yorkie-Poo named "Harley-Girl". Yes, she rides too.

I had started working at Hartford Hospital as a Dietary Aide in April of our senior year. After graduation I continued working part-time and received an Associates Degree from Manchester Community College in 1981, then married in April 1982 and moved to Hartford for 1-1/2 years before returning to Windsor. When my youngest was 3 years old I went back to school part-time and got my Nursing Degree. I worked at Hartford Hospital and then CT Children's Medical Center for almost 23 years before becoming a School Nurse.

I had 3 children, all of which attended Windsor Public Schools. Those were great times watching them grow up. While they were in High School I joined the Football Booster Club and ran the concession stand from 1998-2008. It was a lot of work; I met some great parents and made some even better friends. My daughter just took it over so look for her if you go to the football games, she looks just like me, so we've been told.

My son Jeff was born in July 1984 and graduated from WHS in 2002; he played Football & LaCrosse. He is currently an Airman, in the U.S Air Force and is on his way to Iraq tomorrow (Friday 9/12/08 L). He's in his 4th year and has been on 2 tours of duty, once to Kuwait and once to Afghanistan. Please keep him and all of our Military Men & Women in your thoughts and prayers.

Amanda was born in October 1986; she graduated in 2004, played Volleyball and the Tuba in the Marching Band. After High School she attended Porter & Chester Institute and is now a Dental Assistant at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. My youngest son Joey was born in May 1988 and graduated in 2006, he also played Football and was on the Wrestling Team, and after graduation he joined The Marine Reserves. Unfortunately, he suffered a terrible accident in February 2008, (not military related) and lost his left eye. As a result of this injury he is being medically discharged. He has just enrolled in a Community College in California where he lives with my brother Michael.

My brothers, Luie & Mike, and I just threw our parents a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party on August 2nd. It was absolutely beautiful and they so deserved it for being the greatest parents a kid could ask for. Be sure to check out the pictures I've posted.

Some days I really miss being in High School and think to myself, "I wish I knew then what I know now." We've all come a long way since June 21, 1978; some good times and some not so good, I'm sure. But we're still here. I've always been a firm believer that crap happens, it's a fact of life; but no matter what happens to me, I know I always have 2 choices. I can sulk and waste time feeling sorry for myself, or I can pick myself up and keep moving forward. Here's to always moving forward!!

Dale Mottram (1978)

Graduated in December 1977 to enlist in USAF where I was an Air Traffic Control Repairman. Got out in 1982 and worked as a mechanic in Granby, CT for several years. I eventually got a job with Hamilton Standard as a R&D Electronic Technician, got married to my first wife, had triplets, got divorced and took custody of my 1 year old triplets and moved to Manchester. I was laid off about 10 years later from HS. I then worked as a Infrastructure Cabling and Networking Tech in Windsor Locks for a couple of years, had child #4 and got remarried. A friend I worked with at HS was starting a crash test facility in Litchfield and asked me to head up the electronics part of the design and operations, so I moved to Torrington, bought my first house, and worked at PTC for 3 or 4 years.
I eventually took a job that started off as a Project Manager for another Cabling Company in Rocky Hill and ended up running the operation for the CT office for a couple of years.
I then took a job as Project Manager for Fujitsu in New Haven, and other than a brief hiatus to work for a dotcom professional services firm, I'm still here 12 years later after being purchased and working my way up through the organization to Director.
I transferred to Boston, 8 years ago, got divorced (again) 7 years ago and got remarried 4 years ago (third time's the charm!) . I'm currently the Director of Project Management for the organization.
My wife Tarja is from Finland and has 2 boys that are off on their own. The triplets are all off on their own as well. My 15 year old is living went to live with his mother this year in Mass so it's an empty nest!
I'm living in New Hampshire and spend my spare time hunting, fishing, riding the motorcycle, doing some amateur photography and maybe a little golf when I get the chance.

I matriculated at Windham College, Putney VT in 9/78. It closed in 12/78. (It wasn't my fault) I then transferred to Castleton State in VT and stayed for 3 semesters. In Spring 1980, I auditioned and received an acting scholarship at Stephens College in Columbia MO. (Stephens is an all-women's college you can look it up) I spent two years and two summers engrossed in theatre - one summer at the world renowned Okoboji Summer Theatre in the Iowa Great Lakes Region - and earned a BFA in acting. (It should be called a BFD.) I came back to Windsor, did four plays at Hartford Stage, working toward my union card., and waited tables. I gave up the acting dream and substitute taught at WHS. While there, teacher/mentor Ernie Cirillo asked me to direct a play with kids who couldn't do the main play and my passion found me. I went back to school and earned my Secondary Education Certificate in English in '89 and was hired by WHS in '91. I stayed at the alma mater for 10 years until I left to finish graduate school work in 2001.After earning my MS in English from CCSU, I found a job at East Hampton (CT) High School where I currently serve as the Team Leader of the English Department and Drama Club advisor. I have directed nearly 60 plays and musicals at WHS and EHHS, with Windsor Youth Summer Theatre, The Windsor Jesters and The Somers Village Players . All but a few have had youth casts.
In January of 1989, I married Martha Giffin, daughter of the late Warren Giffin, our old history teacher. He remembered me a little too accurately and was not exactly ecstatic when we started dating. He softened his stance once I started pursuing a teaching career, however. Martha and I were lucky enough not to conceive kids in the traditional way which enable us to be joined with our son Liam, who came to us from Korea in August 1995 at the ripe age of three months. Martha is an Employee Relations Manager at Sovereign Bank. Liam is an 8th grader at Sage Park and very much 13 years old.
I met Martha while doing My Fair Lady with the Windsor Jesters. We lived in Windsor, then Ellington, and ultimately settled back in Windsor in 1999. We've been active in town with Junior Women's Club, First Church, and Boy Scouts. (Martha was JWC and I'm BSA, if you're wondering). Over the past 20 years, we've had our ups and downs as any in any relationship, but we've continually grown closer. We've always loved each other, but the most amazing thing is that we actually like each other and laugh with each other every day. Other than having beautiful and mesmerizing eyes, Martha has a sharp and intelligent wit.
As for other interests, I golf religiously yet have not had a hole-in-one. I continue to pray for one. Playing Pebble Beach was both a highlight and a lowlight. (I put three balls in the ocean on the 18th.) I have competed in the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament for the past six years. Because of this, I have continued to develop a store of totally worthless knowledge, especially items represented by bizarre four-letter words such as etui and anoa. I love cooking over a campfire with a Dutch oven, and lighting fires without matches. It's amazing what you can do with steel wool and a 9-volt battery.
I look forward to seeing you all, but I will be late. Just as in high school, my social calendar is dictated by theatre. I am performing in the Jesters production of Arsenic and Old Lace on the night of the reunion, but will arrive at Vito's before the curtain goes down.

I left Windsor in October 1978, and as of next month I'll have lived here in Michigan for 30 years. I earned a BA in English from to the University of Michigan in 1984, and got an MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit much, much later. I work at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn as a Computer Programmer/Webmaster for Dealership Warranty-how I ended up here is beyond me. I've been married for 18 semi-blissful years to my wife Deena, who is an Advanced Placement Science teacher in Dearborn. We have two obnoxious children Madeline, age 10, and Cooper age 4 (what were we thinking?) who run us ragged. Through some sort of karmic retribution, I am actually President of the PTA for my daughter's school, which is pretty funny considering how much I disliked school when I was growing up. In between all this stuff I learned to play the guitar and played in some rock and roll bands, visited China, Japan, and South America, and learned to be a Bob the Builder type and a computer geek. I have one of those Blog things if you're interested at www.fastandbad.com. Enjoy the reunion!

After graduation I attended Central Connecticut State College on a running scholarship and planned to study Psychology. A 1.8 GPA placed me on academic probation so I dropped out and joined the US Army in September 1979 in the specialty of military intelligence. I completed basic training and advanced individual training before being stationed in Misawa, Japan from August 1980 through February 1982. It was during this time frame that I met my wife who was in the US Air Force and was also stationed there. I left Japan and attended basic airborne school in route to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Barbara Jane (Clark) Rooke and I were married in Massachusetts in June 1982. I re-enlisted in the Army, just prior to the birth of our first child (Craig Robert) in August of 1983, and my deployment to Grenada (Operation Urgent Fury) in October 1983. The birth of our second child (Kevin Andrew) in September 1984 was a pleasant surprise. I left my family behind at Fort Bragg and was stationed in Honduras from October 1985 through October 1986, returning only for the birth of our third child (Vanessa Rose) in February 1986. I returned to Fort Bragg in October 1986 and continued my military service there. In February 1989 I attended Warrant Officer School in order to progress from the enlisted ranks to the Warrant Officer ranks. I graduated in August 1989 and returned to Fort Bragg to rejoin my family. I was deployed to Panama (Operation Just Cause) in December 1989. The birth of our fourth child (Valorie Jane) in April 1990 completed our family with two boys and two girls. I was deployed to Saudi Arabia (Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm) in August 1990, injured in March 1991, and medically evacuated back to Fort Bragg. The town of Windsor invited me to be the Parade Marshall for the 1991 Shad Derby Parade, which I graciously accepted. In August 1992 my family and I were transferred to Panama where we were stationed for three years. The last year (August 1994-August 1995) I spent in Lima, Peru doing covert operations with the Drug Enforcement Agency. We returned to Fort Bragg in August 1995 and I enrolled in a degree completion program to finish my bachelors' degree in Psychology from Campbell University, in Buies Creek, NC. I left my family behind at Fort Bragg and was stationed in Korea from June 200 through June 2001, returning to initiate paperwork to retire from the Army in October 2002. After retirement I worked as a Manager for the Wal-Mart Distribution for a couple of years (October 2002 October 2004) before deciding to go back into the military intelligence field as a government contractor supporting the Army. I worked as a government contractor on Fort Bragg for a couple of years (October 2004 September 2006) before I decided to do contractor work in Iraq. I worked as a government contractor in Baghdad, Iraq from September 2006 - December 2007 then transferred to Kuwait in January 2008 where I am presently at today. My hobbies include water skiing, riding motorcycles, bowling, and officiating high school sports. I've been married for 26 years to a wonderful woman who supports me in whatever I do. Our four children are all doing quite well. Craig R. Rooke 25, is married with one daughter, and drives for Budweiser. Kevin A. Rooke 24, is single, and in the Navy in their nuclear program. Vanessa R. Gilligan 22, is married with one son, and works at the Renaissance SPA Juice Bar while attending college at night, majoring in Criminal Justice, with an emphasis in forensics. Valorie J. Rooke 18, is single, and just started her freshman year at Winston-Salem State University studying nursing. We have two grandchildren, Ayden Michael 3 yrs, and Cara Marie 11 months.

Dana Ross (1978)

Graduated 1982 from Boston College School of Nursing. Moved to New Orleans for my first job. Then back to New Haven CT for 15 years. In 1997 moved to Phoenix AZ with someone who I thought I would marry glad I came to my senses. At age 40 moved to NC to attend Duke University and completed a Master's degree in Nursing. I am now a Nurse Practitioner at a Public Health Clinic in Raleigh, NC. I speak more Spanish than English these days. Thanks to Jr & HS Spanish classes.
Why NC? My mom & favorite sister moved here years before. Attended my niece's birth. Missed having family around. The relocation was a new start in 2000 an expanded career and a new life. Soon after graduation I met my wonderful husband John Conte from Brooklyn NY. Ironically he's lived in NC longer that he lived in the northeast. We met of all ways, thru match.com. We married on Cinco de Mayo 1996. Neither of us had ever been married. He is a great partner and good for me very laid back. We honeymooned for 3 glorious weeks in Italy his idea!
Life has been a great adventure. Lots of travel to far off lands and even cross-country in the USA.
I have 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Enjoy my 94 grandmother who also lives in town. Life is good!

After HS I did some college classes but I wasn't much interested. I worked and partied but I wasn't growing so I moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1982. After 2 years and lots of growth I moved to Austin, Tx. (this is where I got sober). Then in 1986 I moved back to Windsor, CT where I began working at The Hartford which is where I still work after 23 years. I married my husband Paul in 1988 and we had Angelica in 1990. We moved to Windsor Locks in 2002 and are still here. I went back to college (Saint Joseph College in WH) in 2001 and graduated in 2005 with my degree in Psychology. I continued with school while working and just received my Masters Degree in Education. I graduated in June of 2008. I guess I'm sort of a late bloomer.

I'm a corporate trainer and a Training Lead on strategic projects at The Hartford. My husband has the exciting job. He works for a non-profit organization in Hartford teaching urban youth how to build boats, drums, bird houses, furniture, etc., and he also teaches them the science of the CT river system. This year he was on the news a lot with the kids as they studied snapping turtles with National Geographic.

My daughter Angelica just graduated from Windsor Locks HS and is going to a community college near Boston, MA. Paul and I bought scooters this year so I just got my motor cycle license and we LOVE to ride. We also travel quite a bit just for fun. We are loving life and feeling grateful for every moment.

On December 22nd, 2007, I began a new chapter in my life story. It's the part of every fairy tale, Hansel & Gretel, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rumplestiltskin, or any other, that leaves the reader with a sense of satisfaction, that all's well that ends well. I entered the "happily ever after" stage. This occurred when I walked through the threshold at a small church in Beaver Meadow, Norwich, Vermont, and saw a room full of people there to witness my marriage to a very special man. So special was this wedding that despite the crowd of over 100, there were many more who wanted to attend that we could not invite (the church was bursting at 100). For me it was special because this was my first marriage. It came at a time in my life when I had given up hope that love would ever find me. For my soon-to-be husband it was special because he had found love for a second time. Widowed after 40 years of marriage, he had spent two lonely years searching and hoping he could find someone to fill the gaping hole that was left in his heart.
My husband's name is Arthur Owen. Arthur is a native Vermonter, and everything you might think a native Vermonter would be. He has a sugarhouse where he has produced hundreds of gallons of maple syrup in the past. He has broken down vehicles in the yard (although we're working on that). He say's "ayup" and "aint" and "cah" for "car." He owns a backhoe, an excavator, a bulldozer (two of these are parked in our yard), three one-tons with plows and sanders, an Army ambulance he bought as a wedding present for me, and a shed specifically to store sand. And, in the winter he can be seen around town plowing snow (he's retired, but he doesn't understand the meaning of the word) in bomber type hats, goofy looking because the straps are broken and stick out at odd angles.
I knew of Arthur, and his house (which over the years had begun to look more like a shack), and had heard that the inside looked as bad as the outside. So, when Arthur first asked me to go with him to a fiddle contest, my thought was, "No way!" Instead I said, "I'll have to check my calendar." This worked out fine, because I didn't see him for a while and he didn't have my phone number. I avoided him as best I could, until our paths crossed again. This time he was covered from head to toe in dirt, having run a dirt compactor all day for a foundation he was laying. "Carol, how would you like to go to the fiddlers with me this month?" he again asked, and again I said, "I'll have to check my calendar." This time he surprised me though, "Alright, but give me your phone number," he said. I was stuck, but I reasoned, "Well, it will be ok. I'll go out with him for one date and then this will blow over." You see, I was certain we had nothing in common. First, there is a 20-year age difference. Second, he was likely looking for a woman who could cook like his first wife, and that wasn't me. Third, here I was with a Master's in Education, working as a Literacy Teacher Leader for my district, and him with an eighth grade education covered in dirt. Where could this possibly go?
Sometimes God has to put someone in your life to show you how proud you've become, and this is what He did. You see, Arthur was a family friend, but I had never taken the time to talk to him, to listen to him, or to learn from him. Those who knew my husband knew something I didn't: Arthur is a genius. There is not a problem that he can't handle, which is why he had a very successful career at Dartmouth College as their head troubleshooter, a position he retired from after 40 years when his first wife needed 24/7 care. Although Arthur is retired, he still has a very successful excavating and trucking business. Every customer he has ever had has become a repeat customer, because they all know that if they are having trouble with drainage, a furnace, septic system, a foundation, a driveway, electrical work, plumbing, etc., he is the one that can figure out the problem and fix it. The other thing that these people knew was that Arthur is the epitome of a good neighbor. There is no one in need that he will not help, and he is usually the first one there to help, and the last one to leave. He was why so many people wanted to come to our wedding. He considers every customer his friend (and in Norwich, VT, most of his customers are doctors, lawyers, professors, CEOs or somehow affiliated with Dartmouth College or Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital), and they all count him among their friends.
It wasn't long into our courtship that I found out that everything I had heard about the inside of Arthur's house was true. It was filthy and cluttered. But, there was reason. His first wife had her first heart attack in 1989, and from that time until her death in 2005, she had umpteen surgeries and continued heart difficulties compounded by diabetes. During this time, Arthur kept working, and household repairs were put on the back burner. The only changes made to the home were those necessary for his wife's health. He installed a handicap accessible shower, changed the entryway to their home so that he could install a chair that would take her up the stairs, and invented hoist systems so that he (all 130 pounds of him) could get his wife in and out of bed and the bathroom. When we announced our engagement to my family, I heard a comment my mother made to both my cousin and my sister, "Arthur will treat Carol like a queen." And that has been so true. And, as far as the house goes, we are working on it and making tremendous progress. It's sure a lot easier when you have a live-in handyman. And the work goes easier when you are working side by side with the one you love.

I stayed in CT after graduation, working at various jobs. Married and had two boys, but have been divorced for a while now. I moved to Norwich, Vermont where I've worked as a meat cutter in Dan & Whit's General Store, and for a convalescent home as a Male Aide. Now I'm working as a custodian for the Rivendell School system. I still like to hunt and fish and have passed that love on to my boys, Gary and Kevin. Gary works at a convalescent home in Manchester, CT, and Kevin is in a Criminal Justice program at Manchester Community College. He hopes to become a policeman some day. He also works in the produce section at Stop and Shop and is a bouncer in a Hartford bar. My boys are both tall (about 6'3"), so you wouldn't want to mess with them in a bar.

After graduation I went to school in Bar Harbor, got married and started a family. I became an elementary school teacher in Vermont in a two-room school in a very small town. Rose and I started a vegetable farm together. There were many years of rebuilding an old farmhouse, raising vegetables and children. I also co founded a public alternative school called, the Primary Program. In 1995 our family took a six-month trip around the country, backpacking, canoeing, and biking as we went. It was a magical experience. Throughout the 90's I had been doing a good deal of traveling (in addition to teaching) doing workshops for other teachers. In the late 90's this work took me to Eastern Europe and Japan. I became a school administrator and then left administration to become a doctoral student in education at NYU. I'm still finishing a PhD there in mathematics education. My oldest child, Brianna, taught in Brooklyn for four years and is now teaching in Kazakhstan where she is also studying Russian. Ben has just moved to LA where he works as an economist. He hopes to attend business school at UCLA. Ian is finishing a degree in biology at Hartwick college and will begin grad school in physical therapy. Isaac just started at UVM in Eastern European studies and music. In 2007 I married Karen Reinhardt, a college and kindred spirit, and we moved to Montpelier, Vermont where we live today with her two children, Kelsey and Zach.

After high school, I attended ECSU briefly and left there and attended Morse School of Business in Hartford. I have lived and worked in Windsor since graduation. I am currently working at Sage Park Middle School. In fact, my office is the old teacher's lounge. Like many of our classmates, my greatest joy has been taking care of my family and being Steve's wife and Ben and Abbie's mother. My husband, Steve Brown, has a law practice here in town (Johnson, Dowe, Brown and Barbarotta) on Elm Street. In fact, one of his partners is Ben Dowe (Chris Dowe's brother). My son, Ben, a WHS grad, Class of 2008, is attending CCSU majoring in mechanical engineering. He'd like to either design commercial HVAC systems or become involved in nuclear engineering. My daughter, Abbie, WHS Class of 2011, is a high honor student and plays 1st clarinet in the symphonic and marching bands at WHS. In addition to taking care of the house, kids and husband, I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading and occasionally playing some golf with my hubby. I have great memories of my friends throughout our years at WHS. I especially have fond memories of the music wing, Wayne and Clinton Johnson, Sue Smith (Balloon), Ric Pinard, Laurie Ledgard, Carol Royce, Carrie Mansfield, Tina Costanzo, Tina Septer, Jill Jean, Jeff O'Brien and John Drain (he used to call me "Twinkle Toes" through his sax.
