Hello, my name is Dr. Buddy. You can probably tell from my scrubs and my stethoscope that my job is to provide medical care to my fellow animals. I'm a very busy dog! My days are filled with giving exams and shots, stitching up wounds, taking x-rays to find out why a dog or cat doesn't feel good, and reassuring my patients when they come in sick or injured.

I had to study for a long time to become a veterinarian, and I had to learn a lot about animal bodies, how to figure out what might be making an animal sick, and how to make him or her feel better. It was worth every minute of it! It makes me very happy to be able to help and heal my patients.

Earth Rover

Artist: Betty Jo Halberstadt
Sponsor: Windsor Chamber of Commerce

Hi there! My name is Green Rover, and if you look carefully at me, you will see I am carrying an important message. My beautiful design in shades of blue and green represents the ocean and the earth, and I am a reminder that the responsibility to care for our earth lies with all of us worldwide. If we don t make some changes, our earth " and all us dogs and people " could be in serious trouble. So recycle whenever possible, conserve water, reduce your use of fossil fuels, and do whatever else is possible to reduce your carbon footprint. For a family of four to switch from a 3.5 gallon toilet to a 1.6 gallon one will save approximately 16,900 gallons of water a year. Switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs uses 75% less energy and lasts about 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Fixing that leaky faucet or toilet can save up to 200 gallons of water a day. Turning off lights and appliances when we leave a room reduces our carbon footprint.

My sponsor the Windsor Chamber of Commerce encourages you to renew, recycle, simplify, save energy, save water. Sunshine and water are clean and abundant and a gift for all. Help keep the earth a healthy place for living beings!
